The Catalogue Raisonné is the core strategic task of art history, but also serving the rediscovery and perception of HOLMEAD’s artwork. This register finally should include all his works. Therefore the administrator is aiming for any possible actualization.

Today’s analysis is based mainly on the substantial documentation of the estate, including the meticulous records of Holmead’s late widow.
The permanent research allows including details from museums, permanent and individual exhibitions as well as auction-results. Confidential information from and on collectors are integrated only for the analysis of summarized distribution categories and “market trends”.

APPEAL TO HOLMEAD-COLLECTORS

Invitation for Complementary Details/Indication

To achieve the best possible completeness we kindly ask for your support with available details of HOLMEADs in your possession, including from the artwork’s back like title, year of origin, register-no. (for example: L 59/40 = Landscape, 1959, running No.) and measurement/dimensions.

In the common interest of the collectors, museums, archives and galleries your support would be most welcome to possibly add valuable details to the Catalogue Raisonné, presently “under construction”, listing more than 1.600 oil paintings.
Your possible reaction to this appeal would be sincerely and mostly appreciated, and we would be only too happy to keep you informed on the further development and HOLMEAD-exhibitions.
